As much as Cold Steel loves the massive cutting and piercing power of big, fixed blade knives, there is no denying that wearing one in plain sight will often draw unwanted attention or comments. Conversely, small fixed blades like the Kyoto knives seem to go unnoticed or, if they do draw attention, they almost always get a “pass” because of their small size and innocuous appearance. Available in traditional and reinforced point blade styles, they offer astounding cutting and thrusting potential that belies their modest stature.
The robustly stout blades have wide, full tangs that run the full length of the handle. They are coupled with stainless steel guards and super high traction Kray-Ex handles that are stylized to mimic the traditional look of cord wrapped Japanese sword handles. The slim, comfortable sheath is versatile and will accept a bead chain lanyard, or a Cold Steel C-Clip, so it can be carried in a variety of ways. ( C-Clip and Bead Chain Lanyard not included )

Amazing knife for a single mother. Sharp and handy outdoors. Went right through a whole chicken lol. Super cute boot knife, definitely worth it. Exceptional product perfectly designed.
I bought the Kyoto Tanto and this is the best fixed blade EDC carry knife I've ever experienced. It fits in one's pocket, the secure-ex sheath holds it tightly secure, and the handle is beautiful shaped like a Japanese wrapped handle but with good rubberised grip, blade is razor sharp and good fore daily small tasks use like cutting up fruit at work, biltong, cheese, and the chisel tip is as sharp so good for all handy tasks. A cute but lethal companion knife. Highly recommended! 10 stars! Cold steel rocks!
This knife is a perfect every day use knife.
It is not a folder that can get dirty and gummed up. The blade length is perfect without being fiddly. It is great for all chores at home and picnics. Being a fixed blade it is strong enough for most tasks
Here is a great little fixed blade. For those days when a Kobun or a recon tanto would be too big. Entry level steel but it will sharpen ok. For the money you will not go wrong. Much better than most folders this size.
