Description

When looking for an EDC knife, one of the most important considerations is accessibility to bring the knife to bear quickly. The Pyrite uses a combination of its button lock mechanism with ceramic ball bearings in the pivot to make this knife quick to deploy and always ready in hand. The smooth action allows the blade to be flicked open with one hand with a press of the button lock or a flick of the thumbstuds. This knife can easily double as a fidget toy with how much fun it is to use. The blade is made from AR-RPM9, a proprietary steel that compares to D2 steel with an advantage in corrosion resistance. The handles are comfortable to hold and fits well in the hand thanks to its gentle curve and bevel designed to accommodate the index finger. The Pyrite comes with a reversible deep carry stainless steel pocket clip that allows it to be discreetly carried with you wherever you may go.

Great quality for the price

At this price point you will struggle to beat the Pyrite. For a couple hundred Rand more you can look at the Vosteed Raccoon as well.

- super sharp out of the box
- light weight, just what i wanted for an everyday carry pocket knife
- button lock works perfectly
- blade has no play when locked in position
- blade does not scratch easily
*considering buying a 2nd iteration of the pyrite

Great knife at a great price.

Reasonable steel, but everything else is a grade above, for a knife of this price. Add it to your collection.

The pyrite is an addictive fidget thing! I am experiencing a little bit of button stick in the open position but nothing too severe. It fits nicely in the pocket and I have managed to get a wicked edge on it.
